It was actually a pleasure to purchase a recliner chair from the professionals at XL. The price is the price. No GST added on - and includes delivery to Sherwood Park as well. The two fellows who delivered the chair were very courteous and called about 20 minutes before their arrival. They paid careful attention to not scuffling the door jambs and removed their footwear coming in. I would highly recommend XL to anyone looking for quality furniture.

Three months ago I ordered a sofa and matching chair from XL Furniture. The staff (Sal, Colleen and Al) carefully listened to my preferences and then guided me through the process of making my choice. All of them were patient, knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful. At XL Furniture no GST is added to the price, delivery is free, and there is no charge to take away your old furniture. The staff was great, they leave you alone when you ask them to but are available and knowledgeable when you need them. Accommodating and friendly, they have an amazing warranty, great delivery, and no extra fees. The furniture is good quality and made in Canada which was important for us. The furniture even came in when it was scheduled and we ordered right before Christmas. Overall it was a great shopping experience with no down side.

Anything you buy comes with a warranty for as long as you own it. I did have to call to warranty a sectional and they fixed it up no problem. Looking forward to go back.

17 years ago my parents purchased 2 chairs from X-L Furniture. Recently one of the chairs had a spring let go. I attempted to address the issue and found a label from X-L stapled to the bottom. Long story short is that XL provides a lifetime warranty for their product to original owners. They picked up the chair, repaired it and returned it, all under warranty. Class act... thank you Al Struzynski and Staff; your professionalism has not gone unnoticed.

I don't usually write reviews, but after 3 enjoyable shopping trips to XL Furniture, I must give a shout out to this excellent, local, family-owned business. What a wonderfully positive and comfortable shopping experience I recently had there, accompanying a friend. I was impressed with the personal, friendly, knowledgeable - and yet not intrusive - help provided by JT, Colleen and Al. They listened well, asked good questions and showed us relevant product - all without the all-too-common sales pressure. Most of their furniture is made in Canada, and is displayed in a large 2-level showroom. We were encouraged and easily able to take home several fabric samples from which to make our choices (my friend was buying several items). Seeing these in my friend's home and light was so helpful, and we even took another set of samples home, clarifying our choices. Al told us that the customers who take their time at this stage of selection are the happiest in the end, and I would agree. GST, delivery, and lifetime warranty is included in their prices, and they have some fantastic sales as well. Wonder customer service…had a couch and love seat that needed more padding and the reclining mechanism needed to be replaced..XL picked up the set..and returned it within a couple days..the team that picked up the furniture and brought it back were exceptional..kind and courteous..took off their boots outside the door … this set is 12 years old…there was no issue when I called XL about the issues..lifetime warranty that XL offers is the best… I would highly recommend purchasing from this family business

I am a new mom. I purchased my nursery chair from this location. It is amazing and there were so many options. The service at the store was the best I have received in a long time. It is family run which is rare and so nice to see. Due to Covid my chair would not arrive before my baby was born. XL furniture delivered me a loaner chair at no cost so I had a rocker in the nursery when my baby was born. They also kept me updated on my order throughout. 100 percent recommend. Awesome! You can’t find service like that anywhere else.

I had heard good things about XL Furniture from people I knew and so when I broke a part on my father in law's coveted lazyboy chair I sent XL an email. Their response was quick, the staff member I dealt with was very knowledgeable and they had the part available for me right away with good and helpful advice about how to go about replacing it. Bought a reclining La-Z-Boy sofa from XL back in 2014 - had one of the recliners break after lots and lots of use. Thought we were out of luck, as the manufacturer’s warranty had long since passed, but after a call to XL to discuss our options, we showed them the problem, they ordered parts (which took a few weeks to arrive) and then called us back to bring the recliner in for a free repair. One week later and it was ready to go home, reattached to the sofa and working properly again. Never expected such quick, good, free service - a rarity these days. I’m sure we’ll be back to XL for new furniture when we need it in the future.

Just got our couch back in the house within the week on a warranty issue. Picked up, repaired and then put back in the house. Incredible service, they stand behind their products! Had a chair for eleven years that I bought from XL Furniture, and it recently had issues with some internal mechanisms.
XL said no problem and picked it up, fixed it in two days, and delivered it back as good as new for no charge and it works better than it has in years... When they say lifetime warranty, they mean it!

We bought our first living room furniture set from this fantastic family owned company in the mid 1980’s. It was so well constructed that we recovered it and still use the rocking chair today. Over the years we have bought various pieces of furniture from them. Our most recent purchase was a “Pinnacle” Lazy Boy chair. We are now working with the 3rd generation of this family owned business. Colleen was incredibly helpful determining our needs and we are beyond happy with it! The delivery team was awesome! They unpacked the chair in the truck and brought in only the chair with no extra packing for us to deal with. JT and Saul are super knowledgeable in the store, answering all questions with great solutions! JT and Colleen also helped guide me to create the custom dining room table and chairs that will be delivered before Christmas. This company stands completely behind all of their products, for as long as you own them. A true “Lifetime Guarantee”. They are beyond helpful with any issues, and willing to go the extra mile every time. They are very knowledgeable about their products, no sales pressure, and happily let you take samples home to visualize on site. In 1988 I bought a kitchen table with four chairs from XL. It was of excellent quality and has served us well in daily use for he last 36 years. When the swivel/tilt mechanism on one of the chairs broke we did not expect to be able to have something this old repaired but when I took it to XL Al fitted a new mechanism and refused all payment saying "we stand by our customers". Where else could you find service like this?

XL Furniture was wonderful to deal with. A piece of our electric reclining sofa was broken for while now ...and it never occurred to me that they would be willing to fix it. I was able to take a picture of the broken peice and they were willing to have me bring it in for them to fix. My husband thought that he could fix it with a new part... and they sent it out quickly... and it was able to be restored like new! Thanks to the wonderful supportive staff.

They have a lifetime guarantee on their furniture; we bought in 2017, and by 2023 our couch had some trouble with the lazy boy not working right. I called in about it; they booked us in for a home visit to inspect it, afterwards they picked it up, took it to their shop, fixed it, and it was all included in the original price of the couch.

We ordered a leather couch from XL. From the initial visit & purchase to the delivery, the process was seamless. The staff are excellent as well as the selection of furniture. We love our couch. The quality of leather & workmanship is outstanding.

My wife and I are extremely happy that we went to XL Furniture to purchase our couch a few months ago. We really noticed our shopping experience was different from other places we went to before as Sal took his time to ask us questions to direct us to an Elran couch that not only fits our needs, but gave us the best comfort for how we sit. It was really welcomed to see how the staff wasn't just trying to make a sale, but rather taking their time to explain everything so we can buy something that best suited us.
We were happily surpised to see how there were no hidden fees as the price you see already included the gst and delivery as well. To top it off, you know they stand by the quality of the products they sell as they give you a lifetime warranty. We could not recommend this place enough.

Service excellence for the long term! My elderly parents bought a rocker recliner chair a year ago and had a swivel base installed then. Now they moved and wanted to change back to the original non swivel base. XL gave me hardware to restore to original base with no hassle. Shopping at XL Furniture is a joy. There's never any high pressure from commission sales staff. They are members of this family owned business. My latest purchase was a Lazy Boy recliner. I spent an hour in the store 'testing' each chair. Their price always includes GST and delivery and a leather care kit. The chair was delivered yesterday and they took our old one away. My only problem is that we bought the chair for my husband and I want to sit in it all the time!

JT was our ‘guy’ to assist us in purchasing living room furniture and he was super!! He presented all the info/choices and never pushed any of our decision-making process. I had the most fabulous experience at XL Furniture today. After purchasing a recliner from them 14 years ago, I had the reclining mechanism of this chair repaired while I waited. No questions asked. We were looking for a recliner a couple of years ago when someone recommended XL Furniture.
We did the rounds of other stores but eventually found our way to XL and knew immediately that this was the place for us. The personal service is exceptional, knowledge of stock unbelievable. Try getting that in the big box stores! So when we needed a second recliner we didn't even bother going anywhere else, we walked into XL, chose our piece, paid and walked out. The all-in price up front is clear, no add-ons to up the cost. GST, delivery and removal of old furniture are all included in the sticker price, so no surprises. Also, the delivery people are polite, friendly and efficient. We don't usually do reviews but in this case we felt we should because our experiences with XL have been so positive. They really cared about us and finding the right pieces for us. Also, it's family-owned and local. We highly recommend checking them out.

Service is second to none. We purchased a sofa 12 years ago (an Elran product) and we are still using it - fantastic quality. We had some springs in the reclining mechanism. I called the store and had a repair man at my home within the week. There was no service charge or charge for the replacement springs. This store sells very good quality furniture and stands behind their products, providing a warranty for as long as you own them. Today I had a chair returned that they repaired for me (the steel support underneath the seat cushion had worn out and snapped), and we have already owned this chair for 16 years. Besides that problem the chair looks as new, and it gets regular use. Great products and great people.

We recently purchased a reclining sofa love seat set and a sectional set, plus accent tables and chair as well as a great piece of wall art. Absolutely amazing ‘customer first’ company. Our total experience was first rate starting with the extremely knowledgeable Colleen in helping us decide on what to purchase, top notch delivery team who came back after hours twice, and Al who completely disassembled one piece, reconstructed, and reupholstered it in our basement after we discovered that it would not fit down the stairwell in one piece. UNBELIEVABLE customer service, like we have never seen anywhere before. Would not hesitate to recommend XL to anyone looking for new furniture.

Went to XL furniture to look at a glider chair for our nursery. The customer service was top notch and the amount of gliders and fabrics to choose from was more than I was expecting. Sal took me through all the features of each chair and then was able to pick out a fabric I liked once I picked the chair. I went with the Elran chair. They delivered and set up the chair right in the nursery. The delivery staff were very professional and even went over all the features of the chair again. If you are looking for any type of furniture include this place in your stops. They had lots to offer and spent the time with me to make sure I’m picking out something I am going to love for a long time. Can’t recommend XL Furniture enough.

The services and products XL provided were absolutely amazing. They are a local store and all of our purchases are Canadian made. We purchased a new couch, love seat, coffee table and two end tables.
